There are so many functions incorporated into the modern cell phone that it has become many things to a variety of people but definitely something that you must have. Manufacturers it seems develop cell phones now with facilities that are aimed purely at the younger generation because they are more likely to want to change their phone as each new model is launched. Cell phone manufacturers were quick on the uptake of fitting their phones with as many gadgets as possible to ensure a constant demand for these high tech pieces of equipment. Various beneficial features of cellular phones that are not available in a landline telephone will make cellular phones outpace landline telephony. In an attempt to make each persons phone distinctly their own, cellular phone wallpapers, or backgrounds, have been developed.

The internet has been a big help with obtaining wallpaper directly available online. Newer cell phones can also send images from one phone to another so your friends can share similar backgrounds, even from the built in digital camera. Using a personal digital camera can give the same effect but the extra step of uploading the image might put some users off.

Cleverly, it is now possible to add your own text to your cellular phone wallpaper as well. For the many cell phone users that are not able to customize their phone in this way, it is not something that should really concern them. Still, even if your model cannot accept new screen backgrounds, it may well accept ring tones which will give you that personal touch. Not everyone is obsessed with customizing their cell phone though and only require that it performs the tasks it was originally designed for, i.e. making calls.

The functionality of the cell phone should not come second to customization and new backgrounds will not help you send an urgent text or call will they? I never favor form ahead of function and this is just as true with my cell phone because as long as it does what it is supposed to do I am happy as the rest is just dressing. Many people become angry by others use of phones so remember that you have a responsibility to others when you make a call. Many people will judge you by how you use your cell phone as it shows what type of person you are.

Turning off your phone when you are in a meeting for example, shows respect for those that are also there. You may even get the respect from other users if you respect them they will not use their phone without thinking in situations that may annoy you. It is a two-way thing, if you exhibit telephone etiquette, the people around you will do the same.
