I want to open a ringtone shop to sell ringtones to people via their computer/mobile phone. I want to make sure that i have all the paperwork that i need to legally sell someone’s song on my shop. What all is involved in getting these rights? Most artists will be local and unmanaged. -Erica

26|Sep|2008 2If you own the rights to the music, there are a lot of websites you can register for to sell. Cellyspace is a good one because they give you tools to publish the ringtones on myspace pages, or promote them in concerts with custom keywords. They have no signup fees and their revenue-share model is very competitive.
