   Actually you can use iTunes to create ringtones out of the songs you already own in your library.

   Inside iTunes, go to the View menu, View Options, and click the box for Ringtones. Now you will see an extra column in your song list that has a picture of a bell for some songs. The songs with a picture of a bell can be made into ringtones. Click the bell and you can use iTunes to pick the section of the song that you want and then the rest is all automatic.

   if you convert your itunes files into mp3 files, you can upload them and convert them into ringtones with a really cool free site called Ventones
